Critics`Choice Award: First-time Awarding of The Swiss Association of Film Journalists`Critics Price in the International Feature Film Competition Series.

Chosen by the SVFJ from its more than 100 membres, a three-(wo)man jury will bestow the best film in the International Feature Film Competition with the Critics`Choice Award and present it, within the framework of the Zurich Film Festival Dinner, at the Rüsterei on the eventing of October 2, 2009. [more]

SF is now co-organizer of the Zurich Master Class Wednesday 10. June 2009

SF, the Swiss National Television, is co-organizer of the talent workshop Zurich Master Class for the next three years. Last year's winning film Tulpan hits swiss theaters on May 28 Tuesday 05. May 2009

Last September, the 4th Zurich Film Festival's Golden Eye for Best Feature Film went to the Swiss co-production TULPAN by Sergey Dvortsevoy. 

"As winner, we chose a unique and heart-warming film about the universal search for happiness set in a spectacularly bleak environment", the jury substantiated their choice. 

TULPAN will be released in Swiss theaters on May 28.  [more]


Wolke 9 three times awarded at the German Film Awards Tuesday 28. April 2009

Andreas Dresen's intransigent and emotional love story "Wolke 9" is the winning film in three categories at the German Film Awards 2009. The unusal film about longing, love and sexuality of elder people convinced the jury of the German Film Academy and won the Lola in Bronze in the main category "Best Film". Andreas Dresen won the prize "Best Director" and Ursula Werner was awarded for her outstanding performance as "Best Leading Actress". "Wolke 9" was shown at the 4th Zurich Film Festival as an Out of Competition Premiere. Furthermore, Andreas Dresen and producer Peter Rommel were guest speakers at the public Zurich Master Class. [more]
