Over the course of eleven days, in the city with the world‘s highest concentration of cinemas, the Zurich Film Festival presents film premieres from all over the world, offers cinematic treats to a national and international audience and facilitates direct on-the-spot exchange with the filmmakers. Let yourself be inspired and touched by cinematic treats from the world over. Meet the up and coming young talents, who personally present their work in Zurich. Step on the red carpet and mingle with internationally renowned personalities from the movie industry at exclusive premieres. With numerous events and parties complementing the cinema program, the festival offers an ideal platform for making contacts and exchanging ideas. In its third year the festival presented over fifty Swiss-, European and world premieres, brought stars like Oliver Stone, Alexandra Maria Lara and Moritz Bleibtreu to the red carpet and demonstrated a distinct presence in the city – the events and programs were met with a great deal of enthusiasm from both the public and the press. More than 27’000 inspired viewers serve as good proof of that! The festival will expand even further this year – with regard to audiences, industry and media coverage – and remains devoted to presenting only the highest standards of content to our audiences.
