Golden Icon Award

This year, the Golden Icon Award, honouring the life work of an actor or an actress, was  presented for the first time at 4th Zurich Film Festival. The award is handed over to a character who has become an icon for a whole generation and whose cinematic works have become unforgettable.

The first laureate of the Golden Icon Award was Hollywood Star and iconic figure Sylvester Stallone. The Oscar® nominated actor, scriptwriter, director and producer has brought to life two characters that have become a part of the American and international cultural lexicon: Rocky Balboa and John Rambo.

On September 26, Stallone accept the award in person in front of an excited audience and echoing standing ovations.The Rocky series, Rambo and Cop Land will be screened in his honour.
